It was sheer luck and coincidence that Blaise managed to apparate onto the dry land and not the into the lake. Though, he detested to admit that it was luck on his side. But he had taken the chance. He needed to escape the bloody madness for a while. Escape Natalio and his attempts to find him ( ... )

Astoria was just finishing up her slice of quiche when the door opened again and someone else entered. She wondered what it would take to find some place quiet around this town. From the corner of her eye, Astoria noticed that the dark man behind her was studying her. She'd seen him glance at her when he'd just entered and her mind worked to match a name to the face. Only, she couldn't. The face didn't strike her as familiar, not at all. So she figured she didn't know him, but apparently, he did know her last name.

At that quiet mutter, she turned to face him, fixing him with a stare. She quirked an eyebrow in question. "What?" Astoria found it annoying to notice people staring at her. Subtle glances she could deal with, but that obvious looking was really too much. But now she wondered where he knew her from, if he even knew her at all. After all, it could just as well be her sister he was thinking of.
