The Entity walked along a small worn path, its eyes focused on the ground below but it couldn't stop glancing at Tonks, catching her eye as she looked back at it. She was radiant standing there, the splash of greens and whites framing Tonks, the perfect backdrop for her beauty. It glanced back down, smirking slightly as it crouched, its hand reaching into a tuft of tall grass while it turned toward her again ( ... )

When she greeted it, the Entity gave her a slight smile that grew wider when she commented on its lack of excitement. "I apologize. I seem to have been too distracted by a lovely vision to play act my interest in finding an egg I know is not out there." It wanted to touch her, to hold her more than anything right now but it didn't want to risk her any further controversy ( ... )

For an Egg Hunt, the Hunt was a rather wishy washy term. At least Fred thought so. He had barely sat down, when an amazingly decorated egg had appeared right in front of him, and he had gone to pick it up. For a while he just looked at it, uncertain about what to do. He hadn’t wanted to go in the first place, but… he had said something about contributing to the society, and since Katie and George were in the flat… he didn’t feel like being the bucket of water on their fire. Giddily happy in love just wasn’t his cup of tea these days, but he wasn’t going to keep his brother from acting like that.

Instead, he had snuck out of his room, after a quick shower, and listening by the door, making sure that they were quiet, which meant they were otherwise occupied, before he had slipped out, and on the street gotten carried along by the group of people, heading towards the orchard ( ... )

Cedric wondered into the orchards. It was one place he didn't really explore during his first month here. Most places he had tried to find every secret they held, but the orchards seems so... simple. Then, of course, he got sidetracked by Cho and the kidnapping. He couldn't help but notice that the orchards were beautiful this time of year.

Sighing heavily, he scanned the crowd. Children were playing and running around. A happy sight that Weaver created. The thought didn't slip pass him. He knew that this was Weaver's doing... and perhaps a bit of Anne's. He wished he had asked Anne if he should ask people about their experience here today.

Deciding to that bit of grunt work on his own, he sat down, just observing to start.

Beside him was an egg. He looked at it quizzically at first. What? Something drew him to pick up and open it.

The image in his head was... nothing short of happy.

Cedric was 10. He had just gotten the letter of acceptance from Hogwarts. He was overjoyed and his mother was already working on making his favorite ( ... )

James was a bit grumpy, huddled in his tent and listening to the sounds of people outside in the Orchard. Okay, so, technically this wasn't his home or even his lawn, but he was having an emotionally and psychologically traumatizing time in his life and couldn't other people respect that? What the hell was going on out there anyway?

At length, James crawled out of the tent and blinked about, watching people sitting about and picking up eggs. When they opened them, they seemed to fall asleep or space out. Oh. Right. The egg hunt. Another Goddamn Festival. James was not interested in participating in any more Festivals, no matter how bright and cheery they might seem to be. There was always a catch, he was sure of that.

James moved to go back into his tent, and the movement of his body pulled an egg into the tent with him without knowing it. On his hands and knees, his hand came down on the egg, popping it open.

James stood with his mother after getting the owl from Sirius. The Potters had often told Sirius he was welcome to come ( ... )

Charlie had been wary of coming to this festival. The last time he had been part of something the thing that ran this town, he had been locked up for two weeks in a dungeon and it had cost him his job in the end. It still and always would be a sore spot with him. This town and its owner's games had cost him his Tiahmat, his home at the reserve and the job he loved. He had lost so much lately ( ... )

Five-year-old Charlie stared into the crib at the two lumpy, wrinkly and very pink things which were occupying it. He couldn't believe that this was his new little brother and why were there two? Last time he got a new brother, his parents had only brought one home from the hospital. He stuck out his lower lip and frowned ( ... )

Charlie jerked awake with a smile on his lips. Blinking, he sat up and held a hand to his forehead. He might have lost some of the things that mattered to him, but he still had what was most important of all. He had what he had promised to protect.

The family Quidditch team He thought, laughing lightly. His siblings
