Narnian fanfic

Inspired by reading Yuletide Treasures I decided to try and overcome my natural inclination towards shying away from fanfic and write a Narnian piece. It's maybe a bit overly long, and I'm not sure if it's very good, but I quite like it ( Read more... )

I think that's lovely. It'sn longer than it *could* have been, but not *too* long; any rambliness fits with the reminiscing and thought patterns. I'm impressed that you managed to write something so personal, in a way, as well, without it sounding self-indulgent. You put in enough feelings to make it real, but not so many that I wanted to slap the characters.

What happned with your original fic? That was good - I still wonder what was going to happen.

Oh - I remember that! I've got another two chapters that I never put up, because I wasn't convinced by them. I'll have a fiddle and try and put them back up.

*looks sheepish*

I am awful at finishing things. I currently have (and I've just counted) six different fics on my laptop, which vary from '1000 words and no real direction' to '30,000 words and a plan for a full length novel attached. They all seem to stall an an indeterminate place and I get too distracted to finish.

Really glad you like it. It did get rather long, but I think it stayed *just* within reasonable readable length.

That is very very lovely - especially the bit of them crying after leaving Narnia the first time.

Thank you! I'm glad you like it.

I'm quite a big Susan fan, and I really always wanted a story which would tidy up the horrible loose end of her not going back to Narnia with the others.
