Now it must be said I do not agree with all of this, but on a financial and in regards to free market policies I do.

Besides the fact that this article is from the Pravda (which seems to have some very sketchy articles if my memory serves me correctly), it is like listening to any extremist (think Rush Limbaugh, or to a degree "PBS").

Free market cannot be really free otherwise it isn't... Did I just really say that? I'm probably in agreement with you regarding a lot of this (e.g. corporate leaders should not be hobbled), but some federal control over private industry is needed. The control allows for safety and standards to be enforced, fair markets to be in place (think of the monopolies and antitrust issues the government has handled, albeit perhaps not perfectly).

Perhaps it's just an element of stagnation where any system left alone without interruption will fall into some entropic state. Economies in today's world seem to be either static, trust games (not suggest this is entirely bad) , or Ponzi schemes.

Wish we had a Blush here in town so that I had more access to boxes. ;)

I agree that there is a point of government 'medeling' that is needed. Having mandated guard rails on cat walks in factories etc. is a good thing.
