Wow - my quote is from Eudora Welty, and it's been YEARS since I read that book… in fact, I think it's been a box since we moved from Malden to Medford. Where did you find the meme?

I have no idea. It's from 2004. Even the greatest of memories (which I certainly don't have) would have trouble remembering back that far. I can guess it was from one of my Friends, the one who added "Highlight the desired state tax table and press Enter." I just took out the Bible in the drawer of the desk my computer is on. (I inherited it from my aunt - she was a Roman Catholic nun). I then followed the destructions and added the sentence about Abraham and the Lord.
