Oh no, they're completely different. Marmite is gross. But yeah, it's kind of an acquired taste. I love it, but I have been eating it since I was 6 months old. Mum used to cover a rusk in it and give it to me to chew on, lol. You should see if there's any for sale in your local supermarket or something, and try some!
