Um. I didn't actually get it what his bad habit was. Hoarding keys? Having to check all his keys before leaving the house? Something else?

Haha, oh, was it that unclear? I think it was explained there...

It's based on me having a habit of not only checking that I have my keys with me, but also checking that the key to my apartment is still attached to the keychain. Every time I leave the apartment. So, that was the habit.
