I am still writing Black Valentine. My fingers are painful and progress is slow and this show-related muse interrupted. I grabbed it and locked it down on a page while I could, because, goodness, not only did I enjoy 'Mint Condition' but it inspired a quick fix-it fic.

This was such a perfect little moment, Dean slyly rearranging everyone's schedule to give he and Sam a break.
It felt so peaceful to read too, I didn't realize how much the static of the busy bunker was getting to me. This 'feels' like the boys, right down to the flying monkeys! ♥

Thank you. Yes, Dean knew exactly what he was doing. I hate having a busy house for even a few hours, I can't imagine how hard it has been on Dean when he has been used to his own space all his life. Even in motel rooms - it was just them (and sometimes John).

*sigh* Now if only the writers can find a way to do it too.

Thank you for this!! I hate HATE HATE that the bunker is full of AU!Hunters. I don't care about them, I hate their treatment of Dean, and whatever about being back-up for the boys, they should all just MOVE OUT ALREADY. Working there/researching and having meetings is fine, but Jesus, go live somewhere else for fuck's sake. I know the bunker was originally meant to be just for the Men of Letters, and I have no problem with any hunters using it as a place to do what they need to do, but I want it to go back to being a haven for Sam and Dean to relax in (well, as much as they can, anyway ( ... )

Aw, thank you. We can all rant together here because I too am really annoyed at the way they shoehorned au characters in with the same traits - I mean, they are not the same people, the writers are crapping on wonderful character build in the early seasons, for no good reason that I can see except laziness.
Mint Condition was how it should be, a natural formed relationship with side characters that are gone when the case ends. It's a long time since an ep. inspired me to write, so that's something too.
