television glory

Yes, I spent all weekend watching Saved by the Bell and cleaning house and working. My schedule's kind of wacky lately and I've been working odd, late hours, so I'm gonna post when I can. But this isn't about life or SBTB, because God, I fucking love Heroes, and I have to babble about last night's episode.

Spoilers! Spoilers for Heroes! )

So...BSG. What's going to happen to Helo? I know they said nothing, but that can't go without consequences...can it?

I'd imagine he'll be punished in some form, but given Tigh's current condition, I doubt Helo will be leaving his post as the XO for it.

God, what a fucking awesome episode. *loves*

It's so wrong (and yet so right) that I finally get into BSG because of Season 3. It's the anti-Doctor Who. Everyone Dies! NOBODY WILL BE HAPPY EVER!

Hiro's girlfriend was adorable. I really, really want him to ensure that she is not killified.

YES! That is totally what I love about BSG -- THERE ARE NO HAPPY ENDINGS. Everyone loses. Seriously, DARKEST SHOW ON TELEVISION EVER. And while I loved BSG before S3, this season has definitely cemented me as a devotee. It's so fucking brilliant.

Many educational opportunities provide for hands-on learning, experiential knowledge, and specific directed programs that assist the student with integrating perceptions into their cognitive schema. Overcoming the internal conflicts and inconsistencies in thinking that arise as new information is presented can be quite challenging for the instructor of concepts that move to a layer of abstraction beyond the immediately perceivable. When teaching database theory the instructor may make use of analogies to physical structures like files, records, forms, and fields, and visual elements like the Entity-Relationship diagram to show how attribute objects in the database exist in relation to each other [Guimaraes]. Implementation of a simple database allows for direct display of results of basic database operations, and can provide awareness of current methods of database interaction. However, expansion into the abstract concepts of relational operations like Relational Algebra, Closure, and Normalization clearly require something more ( ... )
