this kind of deja vu isn't funny, people.

It's an extremely disorienting thing to wake up in the morning and see that London has been attacked again. The first thing I thought, honestly, was that I was still dreaming. Jesus. Unbelievable stuff. Thank the gods that this week's bombings (and god, that's a phrase I hope doesn't become common) were far less severe than two weeks ago. Still, to ( Read more... )

That was my fear when NYC was hit that they would regroup and do another bombing. I guess we are all expecting it to happen sooner or later.

I feel for London. It's one thing to get one bombing and you get through it and move on. It another thing for it to happen again. Now everyone is on edge waiting and fearing for the next hit.

They used to get bombed all the time when the IRA was more active.

This happened with the IRA. When we had mainland bombing campaigns. It would go on for months then they'd be a lull and it would start again.

I guess it's what Tel Aviv or Baghdad go through all the time. You just have to get on with it. I still came home by tube today. I'm not walking it twice in one month, and I finish tomorrow.

Thanks for all your good wishes though. It's nice to know people out there are thinking of us.

ROCK ON!

I keep meaning to ask you this: I'm shopping for a Divx-compatible DVD player specifically for the watching of The Who. I know that some models have problems with certain files... which one do you have? You seem to have success, and I'm curious...

They ROCK! I used to have contacts, and I missed them SO MUCH. I forgot how wonderful it feels to see without depending on glasses, or how nice it is to walk out into a hot humid Charleston day without getting fogged up! Heeee!

Yay BSG! How intense was the season 2 premiere? I nearly stopped breathing a couple of times. There's a new ep tomorrow, and I can't wait!

If you like political science fiction and gray moral areas, you should try reading Dune. That series just takes the cake on gray moral areas.

Ooooooooooooooooo -- I'm DEFINITELY going to have to read Dune, and I have good cause now to make my mum watch BSG. She'd LOVE it, especially since she loved Mary McDonnell in ID4. She makes a MUCH better president than a First Lady, btw. Heee!!
