Annie felt really bad about leaving. Really bad. But she just wasn't the person that dealt with things like people disappearing and multiverses and things like that. One day she probably would have a tax accountant or whatever these auditor things were, but she dealt with normal things, like good grades and worlds that were totally intact. So,

Rapunzel was curious enough to stick her head in the open door. And then she saw what Annie was doing.

"You're leaving?" That wasn't an accusation. In fact, she sounded a bit relieved. At least Annie would be safe, right?

[annieadderall]

"Oh!" Annie said, turning towards the door like she'd been doing something bad and not at all reasonable. "Just for a little while. Until things settle down."

Hopefully they settled down.

"Do you need any help?" Rapunzel asked, nodding at the packing.

[annieadderall]

"I think I've got it," she said, frowning towards her closet. "It's just weird trying to figure out what to bring. Are you going home?"

Jack Walked into his room and froze when he saw the suitcases.

"Was it something I said?" he tried to joke.

"Nope," she assured him, still feeling bad. "I'm trying to catch a flight out till things blow over."

"Oh, we'll, who could blame you?" Jack said forcing a grin. "This place is nuts lately. Have you got a secure portal home? You packed your toothbrush, right?"

He was such a dad at times.

"Plane. Not portal. I don't trust portals right now," she said. "If I leave at three, I should be landing in Denver at seven. It's all planned out."
