Readers feeling cheated.

Yesterday, in a moment of insanity I decided to organize (again) my bookcases.  Deciding what could stay and what I could keep I found a book that gave me a lot of frustration.  The book is The murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie. The classic unreliable narrator is Roger Ackroyd...fortunately, this was one of the last AC books I read (I'm a huge fan and at one time owned every one of her books). Personally, I don't like unreliable narrators. I accidentally picked up another book with one, and I HATED it! Put me off the author for good (so I get that). I think knowing ahead of time that we're getting that would help tremendously...of course, then I'd never read a single book with an unreliable narrator (well, I might...if I knew beforehand).

I bought an entire collection on ebay of her books before reading that book, and it has been an uphill battle to tackle it. I can deal with unreliable narrators, but this was one of those few cases where it really upset me. Mostly of what I read about AC is from Poirot, which one would you recommend of the Miss Marple series?

The Miss Marple books are my least favorite, but I did keep one of her mysteries -- A POCKET FULL OF RYE. That one's pretty good. My favorite AC are the Tommy/Tuppence and various individual mysteries (CAT AMONG PIGEONS, ZERO HOUR, 13 FOR DINNER, etc.).
