Holy Apocalypse, Batman.

Falling Skies is totally hitting all of my kinks. Yes, there are flaws, and there can always be more women and less whitey-boy manpain, BUT. I have an embarrassing attachment to Noah Wyle back from the John Carter ER years (and now he's SCRUFFY, and a ex-history professor with a gun!)

I'm really loving it, too. Though I'm having a tough time seeing Noah Wyle in this kind of role. I've never been a fan of his to begin with.

I'm totally enamored of Colin's evilness, though and I hope we see more of him than we have thus far.

It's too bad 'V' couldn't get to THIS part of the Visitor's invasion quicker. It may have lasted longer.

Ah, Noah Wyle is my guy. I can't really erase my earlier crush on him, so I'm in a blind 'can do no wrong' space. Lol. I'm pretty sure Pope will be back. I see him in that 'bad guy who becomes integral to the group against his better judgment' role eventually. He'll no doubt reappear just in time to save all of their asses.

Never did watch V myself.

so how does this show measure up to Sanctuary in terms of balancing cheese and bad writing with epic awesomeness?

Well, sure, there's bad writing just like most shows, lol. But not really any cheese. That's not the tone of the show. More gritty and serious.

Yay, someone else who's watching Falling Skies! I'd been a little concerned going in that I wouldn't be able to stop seeing "Dr Carter" fighting aliens and would find that super distracting. But that hasn't been an issue at all.

And while I do wish both of the young kick-ass females could be something other than stick-thin blondes, Dr. Anne is so faboo that she almost makes up for it. :)

And "Paul Davis" as the baddie? So, so good.

Oh my god, that was driving me barmy where I knew him from but couldn't place him. Thank you!! :D

Well, if I really thought on it, he is a little Dr. Carter-ish, at least the wise, older one, though Tom is a bit more of an optimist. I imagine it's hard to play the main white dude hero guy all the time and actually make them distinct. Lol.

Yeah, two leather wearing, motorcycle-riding blond girls is just one too many. (I couldn't tell them apart much in the beginning, though I believe I prefer Margret in the end. She's got a nice dark edge to her.)

Oh, we've recorded this to watch and this is the second good review it's gotten on my flist so far! :) Excellent.

I'm totally still in love with Noah Wyle. :)

*glees*

Yes - it's just started showing on cable here so I've only watched the first two eps but really enjoying it so far. I too am ridiculously attached to Noah Wyle from ER (am onto the last season of that finally too... sniffle).

Yay! (OMG, even the chance of you and me in a shared fandom again is too gleeful. :)

Oh, Carter. I was such an avid Abby/Carter shipper. Ha. So predictable.
