As my DVR is dead and I have no TV (it's been over a week now!), I have been mainlining Stargate DVDs. Just finished my way through season three (Crystal Skull OMG!). I've been having a heck of a lot of fun with it, and as I finish each ep, I visit the redial_the_gate comm and check out their episode fanworks entries. Hee. *smooch* Thank you for encouraging people over there. I always mean to put in fanworks, and then... don't. I'm very bad at reccing.

I love the Nishta series episode with the kissing against Jack's truck, and then the following one, the insert for Beneath the Surface. *sigh*

I do think there is huge irony in Annerb's comment, given that of the 4 mods the only seriously pairing supporter is a Sam/Jack person. I think we do fandom odd.

I think it's sort of generally accepted that redial_the_gate is gen land, at least that is always how I have treated it in my head. I hesitate to run ramshod over it with my shippy goggles out of respect for that. But at the very least I can put links in the fanworks post! :)

Thanks! I do love NaNo, despite how much I complain about it. I'm excited! It's nice to get to build my own universe and set of rules.

Fanworks are slash/ship/gen/squid friendly zone. As well as chats, meta...

Then again, I'm as bad as my two fellow mods at posting fanwork recs (even remembering my own stories!).

Keep re-reading your old fic to tide me over until you're back. The other day's crackfic alone is worth at least a day of giggling.

I'm surprised to hear that there was little S/J fic. I thought there would be an abundance of it anywhere! But I guess there is less of it in the earlier seasons?
