As far as I know there's no canon evidence for the previous host's name - Kanan is always referred to as Kanan.

Not sure about fanon. I haven't read that many stories focusing on the previous host or where the name is mentioned.

Oh, and loved the latest updates to Wreckage. :)

There was some sort of 'two characters meet in a bar' crossover ficathon recently, where, I believe, people would sign up with one character they chose themselves, and then a list of the other fandoms they could write, and the mods would pick them a second character at random from one of those fandoms. That would probably work fairly well as a comment fic meme, actually, if people comment to the post with the name of one character and the OP gives them a second one (and maybe decides what type of small space they're trapped in as well?).
