When I started writing ' The Raggedy Edge', I knew that as a crossover, the story had to start with Sam and Jack meeting the Serenity crew, but I also knew I had to have at least an idea how Sam and Jack got to that point, where they were in terms of the rescue, their relationship, and their mindset. So I spent some time plotting out the time
