You guys, TEAL'C.

Question. Because I'm curious and have Teal'c on the brain. Who do you ship Teal'c with? And why? What is it about that specific person that you think makes such a good counterpoint to Teal'c? I'm pretty sure Nathan Fillion could make teeth brushing the most amusing hour of anyone's day. Because he's just that amazing.

Last Friday's ep of Dollhouse was ridiculously awesome. I've thrown in the resistance towel and am in for the long-haul. I might kill someone if they cancel at this point.

Yes, Fillion is just that awesome. But I would also like his show to be good. Lol. But maybe I am spoiled by Firefly, because the combined awesome of Fillion and kickass writing? Whoa.

As per Dollhouse, I finally went, "Oh! Now I see how this can be a Joss thing. I see it!" Dammit. I really was prepared to never like this show on principle. But I am willing to admit when I am wrong. Maybe. :P

For Teal'c, it's someone who gets both his humor and his gravity, but who counterpoints it in some way--personality, or goals, or reactions.

Then again, that could be what I look for in any pairing. So. *g*

You mean, aside from my insistence of Jack/Teal'c OTP? ;-) Heh.

Seriously, I liked him with early Drey'auc. A woman who matched him toe to toe but shared his goals. Ishta works as a concept, but I never fully bought the execution/chemistry. I'm also a sucker for how CJ and AT played Unending because I bought that ship so bad (and heck it's half-canon since Teal'c came back from the alt-timeline).

In the history of fandoms...Hmm, it may just be my getting back to Farscape, but I think Zhaan would be cool with him.

Would have to ponder.

I can only take small doses of Castle. I think the female lead bugs me for some reason. But Fillion. Yes.

Jack/Teal'c doesn't seem out of left field to me at all, though I think I would buy Teal'c/Cam first. But that might just be me. Is it weird that Drey'auc just never worked for me? And I'm not even sure why. Clearly I need to have some rewatches of earlier eps. And, yes, Sam/Teal'c is practically canon, even in my mind and I'm hopeless. ;)

Aw, sad that Castle isn't working for you. I think it is clear they are still trying to find the perfect balance. Though, yes, I could just watch Fillion, and maybe his daughter.

Oh Cam fanboys SG-1 so bad and he's paired up with Teal'c so often in bantery segments, I can totally see where you're going. (I see Teal'c as the real "l'il black dress" of SG-1 in that he just goes well with everythign.

Yeah, it's still pretty rocky. I should watch a few more. I'm an old sucker for Medium (I love the husband on there), so it's on against somethign I watch already anyway, but...yeah.

i love him and sam together, they have a really interesting dynamic. if she can't be with jack for whatever reason, teal'c is the only other guy i can conceivably believe she would be with. i also like the flirtiness with vala but that's more lighthearted.

i don't watch any of those shows although dollhouse is tempting me to watch.

Yeah, Teal'c and Sam, I see that, even though it breaks me to even think about because it's so tragic (as far as Unending goes). I'm torn with Vala. I love them together, I think they are just wonderful, but I'm not sure about an actually romantic relationship. Hmmmm. It could certainly be light-hearted though, which might be nice.

Yeah, Dollhouse. If I were you, I might wait to see if it's gonna get cancelled. If you aren't already sucked in, why torture yourself? ;)

Yay! So glad to kick off such thinky thoughts. I have to agree with you about Drey'auc and Shau'nac, I just don't see it with either of them, and they do both represent rather...unpleasant parts of Teal'c. That's why I loved Ishta too. She didn't hesitate to kick his ass and point out when he's being stupid. I think he needs that.

Oh. Magnus and Teal'c. I really think that could work in a very interesting way. As long as she didn't try to experiment on him. :P
