Five Things: Birthday Edition

Jan 22, 2010 16:01

As many of you know (because I talk about it on twitter muchly), I've been diagnosed with vertigo. And yes, vertigo is the symptom. The cause is fluid behind my ears that won't drain, which explains all of the colds, etc that I've had over the past few months. They've put me on steroids (I'm here to PUMP you UP!), but so far the only effects I'm ( Read more... )

That was possibly the best scene ever. Have you caught up on S5? They had a rerun the other night about the SPN convention. It was hilar. :D

Thx, bb!

Thanks! I'm still in my New Year's Resolution phase. Which means I still think we need to get the Colorado YA peeps together. The weather's been holding out. What say you, fearless leader?

We should definitely do this! Tara Kelly lives here now too (in Longmont, I think...or Louisville). I'll look at my calendar (ha) and see what weekends look plausible...right now, either of the last two weekends in Feb seem feasible. Do I have your e-mail addy?

Happy Birthday!!!

I had extremely bad vertigo two years ago. Three months. No driving. No sitting up right. I had to take pills to keep me from tossing my cookies. I had to do two months of Vestibular Physical Therapy so I could learn how to walk straight, shop in stores, blah blah blah. I lost 20 pounds, during all the craziness. I also lost all my upper range hearing in one ear. ;) I say all this not to make you feel like yours is not so bad, but to say, I can empathize. It is AWFUL.

Thanks!!

Yeah, I've had vertigo before. It just won't. Die. Last time it was so bad the symptoms were presenting as a stroke. Then, they thought it could be MS. Good thing it was just vertigo and nothing more serious. They've given me exercises to get used to the vertigo, in case it doesn't go away. Hope yours is cleared up!

Mine has cleared. Early on when I lost hearing and my vision was off, they thought I was having a stroke. Maybe you have Meniere's. That was one of the theories for me.

My boss suggested that one and Labyrinthitis. Maybe the second one comes with David Bowie. >:D

Did you ever get your hearing and vision back?!!
