Day 15 -- Your Dreams, In Great Detail
Does this question refer to night dreaming, or dreams in general, as in my dreams for the future?
Night dreaming -- I haven't dreamed in ages. I woke the other morning with the vague feeling I'd had an unpleasant dream, but when I grasped after it, I couldn't recall it. For some reason, I think I dreamed that now I have a job, J is bored and wants to return to the activities we tried last winter. I woke up with the same depressed, dreading feeling I had all last winter.
Dreams for the future (personal) --

Dreams for the future (personal) --
- I want to travel the world. I want to ride my motorcycle through Ireland and visit the parks in Heidelburg. I want to watch the sunset in Rome, and wander through a bazaar in Egypt or Iran. I want to swim in the oceans by Australia, and go snorkeling in the Gulf of Mexico. I want to climb the Aztec pyramids and go camping in ruins in Britain.
- I also want to get published, at least once.
- I want to open a fan letter from someone saying my fiction changed their life. I want to have my characters be so beloved that my fans write fan fiction and make artwork about them.
- I want to live in a first world foreign country. Like Britain, Sweden, Germany or Switzerland.
- I want gay marriage to be legalized.
- I want pot to be legalized -- I haven't personally smoked it in ages, and I actually think pretty low of people who smoke pot on a regular basis, but just because I disagree with it on a personal level doesn't mean I can or should make that decision for other people.
- I want socialized healthcare to come to America.
- I want us to be really, truly, honestly post-racism -- in our hearts, our words and our actions.
- I want men to take full responsibility for rape, and for everyone to stop acting like it's the woman's fault, even circumspectly (girls, to not get raped, don't go running by yourself . . . carry mace . . . don't leave your drink unattended at parties . . . OR, OR, OR . . . guys, stop raping girls.)
- I want people to recognize that men get abused, too.
- I want people to start taking personal responsibility for their actions.
- I want people to realize that just because you accept a person does something/ lives a certain way does not mean that you now have to do it. I want more people to support so-called "alternative" lifestyles until they are the accepted norm.
- I want a world that is more generous, more forgiving and more open-hearted for my son.
