My kid says viruses on flash for linux are super-unusual (because the viruses are .exe, executable on Windows, but generally won't run without explicit permission on linux), and figures there are like 3507345478563 things to be more concerned about, and that you likely can't execute a worm in linux unless you are working as root user, so it's pretty hard to fuck up your machine (and given how easy it is to just reinstall linux, even then, whatever).

Just sayin'

I could tell him that, but the other thing is that I don't understand the instructions on how to download and run the Flash plug-in for Linux, so he would have to do it and it would probably give him hives or something... but thank Kid1 for his computer knowledge:)

I'm running Linux ... and the latest version of Flash ... oh dear ...
