When using Write or Die, you MUST copy and paste what you've written to a word processing program or Notepad before clicking DONE.

Oh well, there goes 15 good minutes of work and 463 words. Crap.

Wha? It's still there after you click done! It's messy and you have to put back in line breaks (hence I usually do c/p from the writing box itself), but it's still there. You should get a dialogue box asking if you're sure you want to LEAVE the page before you go away from anywhere that it's actually gone.

It would have still been there but I screwed up somehow, and when DD tried to show me it was still there, it wasn't. WAAAH.

I know it counts. But I really, really liked what I'd written. It has taken me SOOOO long to get to this point in the story, and it's all angsty and I hate that I lost it. It said what I really wanted to say in this particular spot, and I don't think it will come back to me the same way. Waaah.

I made that mistake when using that before, too. I haven't used it in a long time and had forgotten about it, but am glad for the reminder in case I do use it again.
