1. Before we get to Today's Misadventure, I must say that my lost weekender bag arrived in town around 7 a.m. today. So by the time I got home this afternoon, it had been delivered to our house. YAY!

I wasn't allowed to eat after 9 a.m. - something to do with the test prep. So I went in on a pretty empty stomach, though all the pain etc. sort of made me lose my appetite for awhile. But they didn't want me leaving recovery without having some food. My HMO already approved the procedure, but they'll probably reject the lunch expense as unnecessary :P

Okay... I take back whatever I said about papercuts hurting. I'm so sorry you had to suffer! At least it wasn't completely in vain and they got some results.

I think "Idol Gives Back" is actually tomorrow night, so you didn't miss it.

Not totally in vein, even if the needle was out of vein ;)

Yeah, I think I missed the night of actual Idol competition. Dammit. I guess I was confused about which night was IGB and which night was competition. Bah. Stupid procedure.

Yes, and yes. I hope my string of misfortunes (minor though they've been) is done now.

Contrast and I are old friends. I was having a CAT scan once and my IV blew while I was on the table and they had to re-stick me while my hands were strapped above my head (childens hospital, they tie you down regardless of age, I was 18 or so). I hate contrast with an all consuming passion. I hate the smell, taste, the way it feels as it goes in. I totally understand. I had a CAT scan with contrast multiple times per year until I was 21... And I still shudder.
