IF darling daughter decides she wants to go to the release party, I'll probably go. If not, I'll probably stay home and continue reading whichever book I'm working on on July 20th.

I'm going for my nephew's wedding. Hope it's fun.

I missed Duran Duran? *sobs*

Then again I didn't know that concert was today :) I obviously pay attention to nothing.

Sorry!! I wouldn't have known about it except I happened to turn on NBC around 6:30 my time and Matt Lauer was interviewing Princes William and Harry and then said "Stay tuned for The Concert for Diana." Otherwise I probably would have watched Cold Case again;)

Yeah, she's at a good age to leave alone for short periods of time.
Glad that the fireworks went well. Mom and Dad didn't mention anything about them.

We've left her home alone during the afternoon for a few hours several times before, but never after dark. We left at 6:45 and got home around 11:30 so she got to stay up a bit later, which she enjoyed. The fireworks were wonderful.

We're going to have to leave the kid alone soon around here since middle school starts at 9:45 and if I'm working as an elementary school sub, I'll be gone long before that. It should be interesting to see if he can get himself up and out the door!

9:45?! What time does school let out for him - 5:00?? Yiikes. Ours will have to learn to get up at 6:30 so she can have breakfast, dress and either ride her bike to school (in good weather) or catch a bus at 7:10. Oy.

It lets out pretty close to 5 p.m. It has to do with the buses, I think. The high schools start at 7:10, the elementary schools start between 7:30 and 9 and all the middles start at 9:45. So I guess they need to enjoy sleeping in for those three years because after that, it's over!

Yikes. Well M's school starts at 7:45 (next fall) and ends at 2:30, I think. The high school students aren't bussed; they have to find their own way to school. I think when she gets to high school, that starts at 8:00, which isn't as bad as 7:10 o_O
