Weekend update

Apr 29, 2007 22:34

1. Gah, I spent a lot of money this weekend. Besides the normal (huge) amount on groceries, I spent $31+ to put 10.6 gallons of gas in my car, and $150 at J.C. Penney on various household items, including a memory-foam pillow for moi. Ahhhh. That doesn't include the money I spent on clothes at resale stores. So now I must figure out how to pay for ( Read more... )

Yeah, apparently they do. At least the new management understands Teh Power of Teh Fans (we hope). The old management was pretty hopeless that way :( 30STM, eh? :D

It was a weekend for spending $$$ I guess. Yikes. Shoes. "Foundation garments." (Like I told MrGrey, they're cheaper than plastic surgery.") Sitter money so we could go out and have dinner. Yikes yikes yikes.

But retail therapy? Priceless. :-)

Fortunately MrGrey is comfortable with the thought that he will never be rich. I fear he will never be solvent, but that's another story.

Hey there, long time no chat.

As for spending that money...Sometimes you need to pamper yourself. Life gets a litte too depressing and stale when you don't.

As for the swimming, I'm surprised she only wanted to swim for 45 minutes. When I was a kid, a swimming pool was pretty huge, it was an all-day event kinda thing. I have a swimming pool in my backyard. I keep intending to go swimming, but I sleep in a lot. Especially this semester with night classes and weird work hours.

I don't know anything about bar-b-que grills except that mine runs on gas. Is yours one of those charcoal ones? Is that why it takes so long to heat up?

Anyways, all in all, I'm glad things seem to be going good for you!

Take care,
Ash

Oh, she would have gone swimming for 2 or 3 hours but we had to get her friend home by 6 p.m.

Our barbecue grill runs on charcoal. Very low tech ;)

Nice to see you again, Ash!

Awww, allergies would tend to diminish the "OMG!SPRING!FLOWERS!WARMTH!" stuff that most people celebrate :-/ Do you take anything to help clear you up?

I take Claritin (well, the generic kind from Walgreen's) but it hasn't helped me that much. I used to take Allegra until the co-payment went up to $35, which I couldn't afford. I might ask my doctor if I can try Singulair, which M. takes for her asthma - it's actually an allergy med that is used now to control asthma as well. Gah. When I was in high school I was taking Ritalin for, supposedly, an underactive thyroid (!?!) because I used to fall asleep on the bus to school every day. A few years later I finally had some allergy testing and that showed I had allergies to grass pollen, house dust, ragweed, and 10-12 types of trees.
