Mreh (not really a tirade)

I'm okay, but M is home sick (AGAIN!) today. This time her stomach hurts. She was whimpering in her sleep when I tried to wake her up. She says she almost threw up during the night. I'm letting her sleep now, but earlier I told her she would be on the BRAT diet. She thought I said "Bratz" diet and asked what the Z stood for ;) She's sick in the ( Read more... )

I am off today and I must, absolutely must put it to good use. I have a ton of stuff I need to take to the post office and weigh so I can list it on eBay and get it out of the house (unless Maya or even Mr. Annearchy would be interested in a set of yellow-back Nancy Drews? 1-56, missing #14 and #52, in good shape after years in my parents' attic :P ). I also need to tackle our living room, as at the moment there is no possible place for a tree.

Poor Maya...hope she feels better soon!

No, Mr. Annearchy probably wouldn't be interested in the Nancy Drews; it would cost you a bunch to ship to him and he might or might not be able to sell a set that's missing a couple books on Amazon. You'd do better to try eBay.

Oh, your living room sounds sort of like mine. Though mine could probably be declared a disaster area.

Poor Maya! She's having a tough year... and so are you. Good thing you have all that sick leave built up.

I'm at the college today, public hours are until 3, then home, then back again at 7. I really want to be home writing my Phoenix Rising story. I think I've finally found it. I woke up this morning thinking about it, and writing scenes in my head. That's obsession, my friend.

*hugs to all* Get your cards done. That will at least make you feel like you accomplished something worthwhile.

I did none of the above. Well, actually, I read through an entire huge RP I was in last night that had close to 200 lengthy comments. And I wrote up a summary list of all of my character's posts this month. But anything else on the list? NO. But I did help M cut out some Shirley Temple paper dolls and clothes after she finally got up.

I voted that you clean, write letters, AND role play because you need some fun too.

Today I am looking forward to cleaning out one of the children's rooms (or the downstairs toybox) with a BIG PLASTIC BAG O'DOOM. Fingers are crossed that I will in fact get to this.

BTW, I'm hungry too.

I also hope Maya feels better soon. My kids are excitedly reporting the viruses going around school as though they are cheering on their favorite team. ("And Mom? Today a boy from my class THREW UP in the BATHROOM...!!" Should I say, "Goooo virus?!" I mean, honestly, what do they think I'll say?!)

If I don't get to the rooms, perhaps I will open Pandora's box...I mean, the boxes of Christmas decorations. I really really want to get a jump on everything so I can sit and actually think about relaxing a little this Christmas season instead of fretting over everything I haven't done yet.

(((hugs to Anne and Maya)))

I don't know if or when we will decorate for Christmas this year. Usually all we do is put up our fake Christmas tree. But to put up the tree, we would need to seriously clean out the living room *headdesk* Which might be harder to do than the kitchen. Probably too much work :(

Yeah, I still need to get around to making a list of the people to send cards to... *shrugs*

Poor M. B. and T. are on that diet too as T. is hovering on the edge of being sick. R is for Rice, right?

I have to laugh about her OCD cleanliness habit. Too bad it won't extend beyond the kitchen.
