Spring forward, FALL BACK....remember?

1. Well, I THOUGHT I was falling back last night. But somehow I didn't set the clock radio in our bedroom properly. So I thought I was waking up at 7:45, but I really woke up at 6:45. On a Sunday. On the day I'm supposed to get an extra hour of sleep. A day when I don't have to leave the house until 9:30. *headdesk* Oh well.

I always look forward to Fall Back night, and then never sleep well. *sighs* Sorry you didn't get to sleep later. :/ I do NOT like how early it got dark today, though. I feel like the day's gone when I'm getting home from work in the dark.

That's great for Maya that her friend is so close. I hope their relationship will stay on the smooth and fun. Little girls can be so darned difficult in the getting along stuff.

YAAAY! You're back?! I've missed you, L. I know what you mean about the days being too short now. I couldn't believe it was DARK at 5:00 p.m. :(

I also know what you mean about the little girls and the getting along stuff. I think you missed some drama here about 2 weeks ago involving Maya and her friend KH...KH tends to resort to emotional blackmail ("If you don't do this for/with me, I won't be your friend anymore." That led to Maya and KH getting into some trouble at school. KH was the instigator then lied about it to the principal. Maya got grounded from computer use for 3 days, plus she wasn't allowed to play with KH for 2 weekends. KH's parents told her, "Don't do it again," and let it go at that. Maya has decided on her own that she's not sure she wants to be friends with KH anymore. We told her that the easiest thing to do is to not seek out KH, but also to not be rude if KH seeks her out. It's still hard to be a kid, isn't it?

I'm back. *grins* I've missed you, too. *hugs* I've basically felt like sh** the past several weeks, but things are getting better and I feel like a real person again.

It makes me really angry to hear how Maya was being treated. Why, why do kids have to act like that? Kudos to Maya for rethinking that relationship on her own. It's a good lesson to learn at a young age, but painful. It is still hard being a kid--some things don't change.
