Damn. I think I'm gonna have to save this to my memories. Amazing.

Um holy crap, this was so hot. I loved their banter, and the hinted-at history. The drunk kiss they shared sounds SO HOT, too. (I am a sucker for strange things...)
Arthur pretending to be grumpy is also maybe the best thing ever.
YOU WIN. *__*

Yeah, I think it was probably a pretty hot kiss. They'd be all thin and young(er) and wide-eyed with military haircuts and tans, rarrrr. (Did you see Stop-Loss?)

I was going to ramble on about how RP influenced how things ended up going, but my sleep aid has kicked in and I don't see that as being a good idea right now....

I'm a Marine's daughter and IDK, I just really want Arthur to have been a Marine. While I think the dreamshare program sounds like an Army thing, there's no reason they couldn't also recruit from the Marines. There is the bit in canon where Arthur refers to the program 'participants' as "soldiers," which is a term most Marines wouldn't use for Marines, but it works if you assume the program had both soldiers and Marines and Arthur just called them all soldiers because he's tired of Cobb squinting at him when he tries to get picky and detailed...? Anyway maybe I shouldn't cling to the Marines thing but dammit, why would Arthur join the Army when he could join the Marines?
The imminent daddy!kink: I am certain Eames didn't forget about that and made sure to bring it up again. Mmmhmm.
