Sounds like you're working up a good case of sciatica. Stop it immediately, any way you can: rest, painkillers, heat (automagic heat pad from pharmacy), ice, anything. No walking it off.
This is important, Ann. If you let the nerve get more irritated, all hell will break loose.
My Steve had it, and couldn't afford to stop working. We researched, and even bought special pills from Canada, which worked to stop the pain and he made it through. (The pills were Robaxicet, FYI.)
