Overall impressions of iOS 7

I had my doubts about iOS 7 when I first started seeing the screenshots for it, but I did go ahead and take the plunge and install it on both of my iThings this past week: my iPhone 5, and my iPad 2. And on the whole, I gotta admit, it grew on me pretty quickly.

Have you noticed a decrease in battery life? I also have an iPhone 5 and have definitely noticed my battery draining quicker, even after turning off the background app refresher and all the other tweaks various articles have mentioned.

I have seen references to a decrease in battery life in the reviews I linked to--although to be fair, in my usage of my own devices, it hasn't seemed to change dramatically. FWIW.

I thought podcasts went out of music in iOS 6. Heck it is separate on my iPad 1 running 5.something.
