I´m not so sure if this is the "sitting on a stretcher" pose the prompter had in mind. After I had sketched it I wondered if I should have drawn Dean in a more "lying sitting" position... but (most of the time) I tend to stick with the first idea that comes to my mind - in this case Dean sitting on the edge of a stretcher, shoulders hunched etc... Maybe he sat up or tried to stand up although he wasn´t supposed to of course and his trouble breathing got worse and Sam tries to get him to lie down again... or something like that ;)
As you might guess from Sam´s hairstyle the scene is set during season one. There´s no particular reason for it... maybe I felt nostalgic^^
I used coloured pencils and watercolour for this piece... and the title is shamelessly stolen from Mumford & Sons wonderful song "Timshel" ;)
I prefer working rather small but drawing tiny faces is a pain in the ass ;P Therefore I made an additional, slightly bigger version of Dean´s face just for fun ;D
