Wow, I'm impressed that you can remember something from infancy. My earliest memory is from toddlerhood and I guess it qualifies as a near death experience. I was in some sort of stroller thing on the second floor of my grandmother's house. Evidently whoever was supposed to be watching me wasn't, because my stroller and I maneuvered over to the stairs and took a giant step. Bumpty-bumpty-bump down we went and if it hadn't been for the fact that my grandmother was just starting *up* the stairs and caught me (and stroller) I hate to think what might have been. I can remember her holding me and screaming up the stairs. But I've no idea who was up there being yelled at.
