If you want, you can flip the Dowling coin. It'll be at IFL State this weekend. It will be used to decide sides for all outrounds. That's not a boast, that's a fact.

you have more time than you think. go with your plan for the first year. so what if you hate it? transfer and do something that you like better. two bits of advice that you didn't really ask for:

1) do something that will make you really happy
2) don't do something for the amount of scholarship money it will get you

no - i go to Point Park University, which is literally like 2 blocks away from AIP. Point Park has no art program to speak of, but obviously AIP does. I don't know much about it, but everyone I've spoken to from there seems pleased with it.

i saw your reply to katie below, and i understand. i thought for awhile about minoring in dance at a more challenging academic university while studying math, but their dance students had very little technique, which was disappointing.

it's a tough decision - good luck with it. :)

you could also try taking an art class at truman next year. you'd get to be at truman, but also get a taste of what art at college would be like. i'm sure that its different... one art class can't compare to studying it fully and what not. butttt yeah. i get to see you tomorrow. yay. and i'm glad you got the extra money from truman! :)

yeah.....the bad thing is though, i throroughly checked out truman's art studios and galleries and whatnot...and maybe they just have some not very good students right now, but i've seen some middle school talent better than some of that.
