I have a soft spot for "Bracebridge Dinner", it's such a frothy, holiday episode and even though I agree, I don't love everything that happens, it's definitely up there on my list :) I've tried to block out all of S5, but I might have to rewatch some of those episodes. I also really loved "They Shoot Gilmores, Don't They?". I always found it amusing that they'd reference that movie, but I guess the episode was pretty intense and kind of an emotional bloodbath, so maybe it makes sense.

i think the issue with christopher is kind of stupid and boring and kind of makes lorelai seem ridiculously selfish, and i don't like the running joke about the so-called ugly baby. but i love luke and jess, and rory and jess, and emily and richard.

season five started off really bad, in my opinion. but i think it got better when luke/lorelai got more comfortable and, strangely, after logan showed up (though i absolutely hate him in the episode where he's introduced). it's not a great season, but it has a few choice episodes.

Aw, I love Gilmore Girls. Like you I pretend 6.08 was the last episode, although I do take the Lorelai and Rory reuniting scene and put it into my own little personal canon. They never did equal Season 1 on just pure consistent joy though. Season 1 makes me smile every time. I think Love, Daisies and Troubadours is my number one, but Rory's Dance is definitely up there. (Also, I am still in love with the dress Lorelai wears to the Dance Marathon, it's gorgeous)

Excellent list. I think the deer-hunters is what made me decide to watch GG. Cuz my roommates started watching GG around season 6/7 and well....those seasons sucked compared to the rest! then recently I saw a rerun and went "OMG SO MUCH BETTER"

oh god, seasons six and seven are SO BAD. i think i think the show got progressively worse every season. except season five might be a little better than four, but i haven't watched either of them (as wholes) in a while, so i can't be sure.

great list, honey. you included quite a lot of episodes I didn't but I love them all and they could've easily ended up on my list, too. basically, any seasons 1-3 episode is golden.
