Anna! I love when you write stories. You're so good.

There are a lot of things here I very much like. First, I LIKE Tess. A LOT. She's real and adult in a way that I feel like I fail at, when I write ofcs. She feels outside of their world, like a person that was existing on her own and in her own life before they came, and will after they leave. Which I think must be very hard to write! In a threesome fic, girls always either feel like catalysts or conduits, but Tess feels like her ownself, living there and being. And finding them.

And the sex actually...it wasn't blush-inducing but it wasn't EASY and just HOT it was REAL and adult and whatever Sam was thinking was almost mysterious and scary. It was just...real and when you see wincest as something possibly REAL, it carries all these OTHER problems and issues and concerns. But this story wasn't exactly ANGSTY, it just felt MATURE.

SO yay! Thanks for posting.

Heidi, I always love your feedback! This story developed over more than a year, and I always had it in the back of my mind, which I think contributed a lot to Tess's characterization

I think I rewrote the sex scene ten times, so I'm glad you saw it as a complicated thing. That's awesome. Thanks, baby!

Your fic reminded me of Johnny Cash's murder ballad "When It's Springtime in Alaska (it's forty below)". Like, the feeling of the place, the type of girl Tess might be, the way the boys would feel there. ANYWAY, you can hear it here: http://grabb.it/search?q=springtime

If you scroll down and click on the link, it'll come up in the corner and play the mp3 for you.

ANYWAY, that's all!

Hi! I very much enjoyed this story when I originally read it. I especially enjoyed your unusually good OFC.

Anyway, I wanted you to know I compiled a podbook of twasadark's podfic of the story. This just adds a cover, makes it automatically bookmarkable, and, for those with iTunes, moves it out of the Music folder and into a separate Audiobooks folder where it won't be seen or heard when browsing or listening to songs. It also then automatically shows up in an Audiobooks playlist on an iPod.

If you'd like a copy, you can dl it here.

Thank you! As I said to Heidi, I had this story percolating in my head for about a year, which I think really helped flesh out Tess's character. I'm glad you liked it!

I really like how natural this feels, how Tess is her own person, and not just a device to get Sam and Dean together, that she genuinely likes them, and they like her.

Oh, heart. I still love this, for the eighth time. So sharp in places. You give great Dean.
