And I've done the DVD commentary meme - woo! It was actually really fun, which is why I did it so fast when I technically should be studying for finals ( Read more... )

Oh, this was fun!! Very interesting. I totally owe you an effusive feedback mail on this story.

So ... the moral is that Willow, tiny Jewish Santa, is really Jesus? Instead of Xander-the-carpenter-who-saved-the-world? ;)

Word UP on scurvy/Eli Whitney. The Dana Scully line made me giggle. Cool info on the research. And I thoroughly believe Spike's seen A Christmas Story since it's on ALL THE TIME every December and he is a canonical tvnerd.

Ooh, effusive feedback! Now you have to deliver it, you can't just taunt me like that. :-)

Heh. Yes. Yes, that is the moral. Thank you. It's like rain on your wedding day. Like a free ride when you've already paid.

Seriously, why IS it that everyone remembers scurvy and Eli Whitney? What about Eli Whitney is so damn significant? I don't understand.

Eli Whitney's Cotton Gin (engine) was important because it made slavery profitable in the South where it had begun to die out. With Whitney's invention, a slave could produce 20 times more cotton lint in the same amount of time than before. Also, I am a huge history nerd.

Eee! I can only hope they make a movie of this and show it every Christmas. I know it's my favorite Christmas fic. And Eee! You play the harp; how cool is that? My first piano teacher played the harp. But she was weird and made her children speak german while they were in the house. And you are not weird.

Aww, thanks! The movie version is very good, by the way. Nick really sells his scenes, particularly with Emma.

And you are not weird.

You assume. Actually, I make all my children speak German. Every single last one of the little non-existent buggers.

I really enjoyed reading this commentary. I liked this fic quite a lot, likely because I share your love of the post-apoc setting. Nice to see your thought processes along the way.

Oh. Wow. First of all, I clearly made the right choice in chosing this one for you to do! Well particularly since you were going to do it anyway! I'm just that good. And hee! My birthday mentioned in the official DVD commentary, how cool is that ( ... )

I'm just that good.

All your choices are correct - it's like you could read my mind! And of course there had to be a shout-out to your birthday on the official commentary, it's important!

Anyway, I'm so glad you liked it and the commentary helped make the story more enjoyable! Woo! And thanks so much for the commentary on the commentary - it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

The Angel questions are good - see, my prob is that I'm way behind on Angel watching, so I don't know their timeline or anything about Pylea and stuff. So maybe once I get caught up, I'll write an Angel companion piece. Or maybe they're just all dead. Hahahaha!

Um, just kidding. I'm not that callous. Yet. :-)

Or maybe they're just all dead.

Hee! Or they get trapped because the Glory portals screw everything up!

Or...And now, see, there would be MORE spoilers cause *slaps forehead* Totally forgot that you hadn't seen season 2 and while I know you know SOME stuff just by, what, osmosis with those of us who have seen 'em? something - that's not quite the same. So I'll be good. Ish.

Hee! I could see them all dying as well. Heroically. But! That's a story as well! So THERE! Mmm...I so can not WAIT until you are caught up on Angel. Seriously so. Of course I'm hoping you'll have some of my extreme affection for Connor and the sheer potential of his story and want to share it...and then you might loathe him. No, no I can't even stand to think it.

Um, just kidding. I'm not that callous. Yet. :-)

Sometimes you are a callous and strange. Or strange and off-putting. Or...

Hee! Just fantastic. Take your pick :)

And thanks so much for the commentary on the commentary Hah! Like you could have STOPPED me from doing that. I' ( ... )

Yeah, whoa there, swim! (you don't mind if I call you swim, right?) Spoiler alert! Actually, it's cool 'cause I know vaguely about Pylea and stuff - I mean, Fred and Lorne and what you pick up here and there and whatnot. But yeah.

Oh, and don't worry, I already love Connor! I started watching Angel with his arc because I thought it sounded interesting, so I've seen everything starting from when he comes back as a teenager and stuff. And oh, Connor! Love! Great storyline! Best thing ever! Yes!
