I wish I could do NaNo this year, as I'm in the middle of a novel...but that's the problem. I'm in the MIDDLE of a novel. 32K in. And I'm not going to scrap it all and start over again on November 1.

I am going to try to use November to finish the thing, though.

Ah, antipope delivers once more! Yes, I think I share his reasons for finding steampunk objectionable. The reason Renn Faires make me fucking twitch and want to hurt someone is that they don't recognise any version of history that exists in reality - you know, the kind you can actually learn things from.
