I know. Same here - I'm so fucking shallow. Actually the whole thing's got me worried. It seems to be a common pattern amongst vampire authors that they go a bit peculiar - start dressing up as their main characters, obsessing about them and generally going all pointlessly gothic. I'm thinking with the next advance I manage to net I may need to invest in some brightly coloured clothes and plenty of bronzer. Do not want to end up like one of those writers.
