OK. My students overwhelmingly like playing games. And I... just don't have enough to make them play. Help out again? There were some good suggestions last time, and I'll summarize what I've got already. Games for any vocab, any grammar ( Read more... )

Silly :) Too much vocab. I might have a class activity for Halloween in which they have to dress up as something and bring in five vocab words each to help describe their costume to the class... hm... what kinds of weird clothing do I have readily at hand...?

Good ideas. We're not focussing too much on vocab, but I'm sure I can make those work. The human knot idea is good too, but I don't know how willing my students are to make idiots of themselves. (Of course, one could say that this is the nice thing about being the teacher: it doesn't matter how unwilling they are.) I really like the adverb guessing game.

Ha! That was fun, although maybe someday I'll be back there and I'll go up anyway.

Italian Scattergories? Fill in categories like "animal, food, emotion" all starting with the same random letter...

Hm. I think they'd just sit around and look bored and not really try. Which would suck for them because then I'd win all of the rounds!!!
