I should be going to bed right about now. I'm not sure why I'm not doing so, though. I'm not doing anything interesting, just listening to music, downloading a few songs and killing time by browsing randomly the internet

I think washing your hair every day often causes a dry scalp, which is part of the reason it's not recommended. So using an anti-dandruff shampoo will probably help you at first and then it might go away on its own. (Then again, I'm not doctor - but either way I recommend the anti-dandruff shampoo...)
Yeah, that was what my friend said - her brother had dandruff, used a specialized shampoo for a couple of weeks and then it went away. I might have to give it a shot...
I wash my hair daily, too. So far, I've heard tales about it being good for your hair and it causing damage. By the looks of my hair, it likes daily cleanings. And I feel dirty if I don't wash it so often. After sleeping on it two nights in a row, it really looks horrible, so daily it is. *g*
Plus, I shower at night so I can let it dry and not use the hairdryer I would have to use in the mornings.
But half an hour for showering? Dang, and I though I had it bad with 20 minutes. *g*
Lol, I take half an hour too. But I don't shower daily--my hair is usually ok with every other day, though I must admit I get caught up in stuff and forget to do it even that often . . . *sg*
Okay, in that case it's about half an hour for me too. Only, I don't clean the shower afterwards. *g* Bad of me, but I'm the only who uses it and I always give the entire bathroom a good cleaning at the weekend.
I prefer showers in the morning 'cause gives me an extra dose of energy. at night, since shower activates blood circulation, it will prevent you from sleeping.
dandruffs are caused by stress or dry scalp. Melaleuca or chinese sinensis or rose shampoo prevent that easily. And twice, three shampoos a week (if you got sports) are more than enough 'cause...it's also draining on your scalp! which could aggravate the dandruff stuff. but I'm not an expert.
I'm usually too groggy when I wake up to even consider showering. Especially when it's an early wake up call (for school, church, a trip, stuff like that) - I want to get up as late as possible and taking a shower sounds too time-consuming at that hour :p
Today my head didn't feel itchy, but I had my hair up all day because otherwise it felt like dirty strings falling on my shoulders. :S I've now taken a shower and washed my hair, and I feel clean and pretty. ^^
Hi, um, I'm Nori... do you mind if I friend you? I've seen your name so much around LJ and I think you're friends with just about all of my friends, so I thought it was high time I introduced myself. So yes, I'm Nori (really Eleanor but known as Nori on LJ), seventeen, Australia.
I get a bit of dandruff too, but it's kind of weird because I've had it since I was a kid and it's only noticable if I scratch my head (which I tend to do when I'm writing, particularly in exams - it's a really annoying habit). I tried an anti-dandruff shampoo once but couldn't be bothered keeping going with it because it meant I couldn't use conditioner and I can't stand washing my hair without conditioner. And I've heard that washing your hair every day is bad for it but I can't imagine that it would fall off, surely not!
Hey Nori :) I've seen your name around too. Sure thing, go ahead and friend me :) I'll friend you back.
I didn't go ahead with using specialized shampoo so far. I admit it was a little annoying when I brushed my hair today and my black shirt turned white with dandruff, but eh :P I brushed it off and it was all right.
Hey! I got here through a reply of yours on greek_dude's LJ, and saw we've got a few interests in common (like HP or Lois&Clark). I also talk about uni in my entries (though I'm in a completely different field of studies). And anyone who lists La Usurpadora as an interest is cool in my book. ;) Do you mind if I add you?

And no, I only take 15 minutes for the actual shower. The rest is undressing, cleaning the bathtub and putting on clothes again ^^
See ya,
Anna. ^^
