I made pita brad the other day.  This recipe is from King Arthur's Flour, my usual haunt for no-fail breads.  I have to say that after making about 6 or 7 of their bread recipes, I have yet to meet one that I don't like.  I just love their product and I love their recipes. Before the fair baking, I plan on ordering a few of their specialty pans and ( Read more... )

It really does. I was so surprised my first time using it. It's more expensive but worth every copper penny.

I haven't made bread since college (flour is cheap, bread is expensive) but this is awfully inspiring. They look perfect. mmm.

When you bake bread do you do it all by scratch or do you use a bread machine? I've been baking all of my bread at home for years, but now I've had to pick up a second job and don't have the time. Just wondering if other bread enthusiasts have resorted to the machine and if so which are the best models.

And that pita bread looks amazing. You should make up some falafels and add lettuce and cucumber sauce. Falafel pitas are my fave!

I love falafel! I only bake by scratch without the use of a machine. There are a lot of people who use machines for the kneading, and it's true that some recipes gets better results by the machine method. However, I get the most joy out of the kneading and the effort.

King Arthur Flour has some bread machine recommendations, and they're the best I know of!
