Had a scare the other night: tried to log onto the Internet, and all my bookmarks were gone! Even my home page didn't come up on Google. Did the only thing I could think of, rebooted the comp, and (whew) everything was back to normal. It's amazing how many bookmarks we have (or maybe not). Backups are your friend.
(Of course, I still have to make backups of important stuff on this lappie, which I've been meaning to do for about 3 months. But it's easier to preach than to practice/practise/whichever is the right spelling)

Do you use Firefox for a browser Belle? Can't recall fro when i was there.
Mine did the exact same thing the other day. Opened it up and thought, hmm
somethings not right then realised all the bookmarks were gone, the tabs under
the url bar had disappeared. Closed it down opened it up same thing. Refreshed the
desktop, opened it up again, same. Rebooted.. Yay all fixed but yeh heart pounding.
I think I might jot some of the ones , that quite seared onto my retinas, into a litle
notebook for safe keeping.

I do use Firefox! So maybe it wasn't just me, that's a relief.
