As mornings after go, this went about as smoothly as I expected. Merlin dashing off, not giving them a chance before anything really started was a real bonehead move. Thank goodness there's only one bonehead in this relationship. This made me laugh out loud: Stupid, stupid Arthur. Did he always have to be so direct? Couldn’t he just pussyfoot around and be passive aggressive like a normal person? Oh, Merlin, don't you know those are bad traits? Arthur making his feelings clear was the best way to cut through all the buzzing in Merlin's head

This fic is killing me, and as far as Merlin fics go, the second you mentioned Arthur breaking the record, my heart just dropped, because I knew it wouldn't go well. This whole big bang is just amazing, and you really pulled out every emotion with this chapter. Well done!
