(the partisans fleeing the Empire’s fall had, quite understandably, not prioritised entertainment material, and the opera collection of the late, unlamented Gallius Rax had been a large proportion of what they had; the effect of this on the First Order’s approach to life was unnoticed at the time, but would provide ample fuel for academic speculation in later eras).
An awful lot of excellent lines in this bit, but I actually laughed at this one.
I read Chuck Wendig's trilogy a few months ago. And when I recently re-watched the throne-room fight from The Last Jedi just to check what it actually looked like I realised that at the end of fight between Rey and Kylo Ren, it looked exactly like the climax of any number of tragic operas (well, maybe not La Traviata, but definitely Il Trovatore, and absolutely Gotterdammerung). And then I remembered The Ballad of Cora Vessora, which in my mind is performed with a full gamelan orchestra, Thai masked khon dancers and kodo drums. And Indian classical singers from any style you like.
