There's a glass pebble beach rather like that on St Mary's in the Scilly isles, where for some mysterious reason the bottles from wrecks wash up, but the ice definitely adds a something to the light in that photo. It's lovely.

The glass-blowers' island of Murano in Venice used to have a lovely rounded-glass pebble beach back when I was small; but they must have cleaned it up (!) because it was no longer there when we returned some decades later.
