What's up with Teal'c?

Okey, so my friend watched the excellence that is "Unending" the other night, and asked an interesting question. Or maybe, it was interesting to me... coz I don't know the answer. :)

Anyway, he asked what happened to the "young" Teal'c when the "old" one traveled back in time to give Sam the crystal?!

Naturally, I have no idea. I just remembered

I'm a sucker for time travel stuff. I believe it all started with my Quantum Leap obsession back in the day. *misses Sam and Al*

Oh, I love time travel too...it's just when I start thinking about it using logic and reason and continuity...my brain starts aching. :)

Ah...the good ol' days of Quantum Leap! How much I love Scott Bakula, let me count the ways...absolutely loved that show! *sentimental sigh*

You're too young to remember Quantum Leap. *g* I guess that's why I never really got into Enterprise. I can only see him as Dr. Sam Beckett. Let's see if I can remember some titles of my faves.

"The Color of Truth," "The Evil Leaper", "Running For Honor", "Mirror Image," Hmmm. . I know I have the ep guide somewhere, but am too lazy to look for it. What were some of your favorites?

Hm, I've watched it aaaaaaaaaaages ago so I don't really remember the names of the episodes. However, my favorite would be the one when he goes back to his own past, with his family. I remember the scene on the porch, with his sister and he is singing (or playin' on a guitar...can0t remember now)a Beatles song.

I should really watch it again!

And hon try not to think too much about time travel. My brain gets messed up every time I try. Not that my brain needs a lot to be messed up! LOL!

Okay, I'm going to try to not get too technical, and actually make sense. Here we go: The ship is stuck in a time bubble. Carter makes a new time bubble around Teal'c. Then she makes the big time bubble go backwards, after first exploding. Teal'c, not being in the backwards-moving bigger time bubble on account of being in his own tiny little time bubble, does not experience the few seconds forward, or the explosion, or the backwards moving. Therefore, there IS no Teal'c in the big bubble, so there is no Teal'c on the ship in the moment before Carter hits the button. Except, of course, the Teal'c in the little bubble, which then expels Teal'c back into the real universe and real time, and he changes everything

Okey... :) I still don't get it, but thanx for trying.... and oh how I wish they *did* stuck Teal'c a note or a picture! *sigh* Maybe the one from the X-mas dinner/party they had!

I still don't understand whay can't he tell them what happened during those 50 years... poor guys gonna go nuts. I would. *hugs Teal'c*
