Guests, yes or no?

Okey, so I've been away for a while, could someone please explain this My Guests feature LJ keeps offering me? Is it good, bad... a secret plan to rule the world?

Does anyone from my flist have it enabled? Should I?

Advise me please, oh wise flist!

Well, I think it's a way to keep track of whose journal you're surfing and whose you're surfing. I honestly turned mine off. I don't see the point.

Yeah... I guess if you really really wanna know who looks at your journal it's ok.

Although, I think both parties need to have this switched on for the feature to work.

See, I don't care. Most of mine is public anyway.

I think the current consensus is to disable it for its Big Brother potential, although in practice it's probably pretty harmless in its current condition. It's also pretty useless in its current condition, since it'll give false positives in a dozen different scenarios, should you be trying to use it to see if a specific user reads your journal.

Hence my "rule the world" option. *g*

Thought so. Thank you for the input. :)
