Morgause is sitting in one of the Mansion's ornate bay windows, with a book open in her lap. She's neglecting it, in favor of frowning out at the muddy gardens with their traces of trodden snow.

Soon enough there's a light step behind her, and Sagramore stands at her shoulder, looking out the window. "Ah, well, it could be better."

"Considerably." She looks up sharply, the gold tassels in her ears swinging. "But you are no judge, I recall."

"Am I not? Well, I was born and raised in weather like this."

He is passing the room and she catches his eye from the hall. He pauses, just a moment, because he can't quite help himself, but if she doesn't speak or notice him... he'll likely just go, in a moment.

Because he knows if she looks at him, he'll make a fool of himself.

T: If she doesn't ignore him, it will likely have to wait until I get back from break, but I wanted to put a bookmark in, so to speak.

Well, that's always entertaining.

She turns at the pause in the footsteps, and her dark eyes widen. "Sir."

"My lady." He bows, and can't help but smile a little. "How are you, this day?"

"Oh, well enough, though I weary of winter." She smiles wryly, glancing back at the window. "And you?"

Melou doesn't recognise her--she died long before he was old enough to know her--but he stops and looks at her a little curiously, in his open-mouthed gawking kind of way.

She glances up, frowning; then her expression clears. "Well, boy."

"My lady!" shutting his mouth quickly and straightening up.

She frowns again slightly, surveying him. "Ah. You are the other."
