it's the quiet night that breaks me [attn: Sagramore]

Morgause is back in her room again, wrapped in her silky red robe, her hair braided for the night; but she's not in bed. She sits by the window, her head resting against the glass, not really looking at anything in particular.

Sagramore stands by the door for a while before he knocks, lightly, with the back of his hand. "My lady."

She sits up straight, startled, and then gathers herself up and goes at once to the door.

And there he stands, looking much as he did when he left; he's trimmed his hair and beard again, and the dark tan is starting to fade from his arms and face. He's more wiry, leaner and harder-muscled, than before, but otherwise much the same. In one hand he has the wire cage.
