Fanart: Working through the backlog...

I made some tiny fanart! Really tiny, none of the pictures bellow is more than 10cm on the side.

I'm working through my personal backlog of memes and trades... actually the first two are still from last year's Valentine's Day Trade Game.

For clear_as_blood who wanted ( a cute moment like the two of them cuddling and reading a book or newspaper - McShep G-rated )

These are delightful! I love how you work the markers -- they look surprisingly subtle and delicate. I think my favorite is the first one -- the softness of the colors really suits the mood.

Markers are more difficult to manage than watercolors, mostly because you cannot water them down for shades, so you have many strong colors instead of the soft one I prefer when making watercolors. But the are so fast! You don't have to wait long for them to dry! You don't have to clean 10 brushes afterwards...

Anyway, I love the first one too, even if it is a little dirty because I just colored my original sketch and the markers kept rubbing the pencil wrong. It looks so soft though, and it fits the mood.

Oh, it's gorgeous! You're right, the atmosphere was down at the end but I know John gained comfort from Rodney and this is them later, at a happier time.

Ohhh, I love these, especially the first (which has this lovely soft feel with the style that totally fits the tone of the picture) and the last once, because steampunk! \o/ I especially love Rodney's hat in the last one.

:) Thank you, hon! I love the first one, it was just so easy to draw and it is exactly how I wanted it to be when I started drawing. I enjoyed putting Rodney in a hat! He'd be totally awesome! He'd totally build John a flying city!

Thank you very much! John is so private, that even a little bit of skin seems like a revelation. And he is totally *not* made to babysit, that ex-girlfriend who told him he was good with kids *was totally lying*!
