And oddly much more cheerful, I don't know why Rome seemed to get me down, I mean it was full of wonderful sights, endless history and fabulous food. I think it might just have been the heat ( Read more... )

Hit the Musée d'Orsay, which has the planet`s best postcard racks. And, for the cemeteryphiliac, there is the Père Lachaise....

We enoyed Paris although it was really touristy. We thought about the Louvre but the queues and the entry fee put us off. So enjoy.. looking forward to seeing the photos. Dad

I read somewhere that the Louvre is 'the most actively avoided' tourist attraction in Paris. I went there once, but found it hard not to feel overwhelmed..... have been to Paris several times since, but have never come up with a 'plan' for what I want to see there that makes it seem more manageable!!
